Originally founded as an automobile dealership and repair shop, Galpin Auto Sports has evolved into the No. 1 volume Ford dealership in the world. More importantly, GAS also established its very own tuning arm, which has created a host of beefed-up Mustangs and the GTR1, a 1,024-horsepower supercar based on the Ford GT. With the 2014 SEMA Show just around the corner, Galpin has crafted yet another bespoke Mustang, this time around based on the redesigned, 2015 pony.
Although GAS is not the first company to meddle with the all-new Mustang, the California-based shop is the first tuner to build a one-off muscle car to celebrate the car’s first 50 years of continuous production. This pretty much explains the gold accents adorning the Mustang’s otherwise black exterior. Naturally, Galpin’s first 2015 Mustang isn’t just about visuals. GAS added some extensive upgrades under the hood as well, along with a new suspension system to handle the pony’s increased output figures.
