nascar tires

Got question for  anyone wanting to answer. Would nascar tires work as slicks for a pro street car ?My thinking is they are much like drag slicks only a lower profile but on a pro street car  or street machine thay might work as the old cheater slicks. Any opinon welcome just an idea was toying with. thanks
