Last year at the 2012 Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, the Caterham SP/300.R managed to obtain a lap record of 61.89 seconds. This year, the model will return to the narrow circuit in an attempt to defend its title. The 2013 Cholmondeley Pageant of Power takes place from June 14th through 16th and will bring together a quartet of British sports car manufacturers that will attempt to smash Caterham’s record.
The vehicles will go head-to-head, with four distinct vehicles in an attempt to better last year?s record run. This year, the SP/300.R will be driven by the Caterham Drive Experience instructor.
TheSP/300.R will have to face lots of supercars, classics, modern race cars and track-focused machines, with the latter expected to do battle for the lap record.
Talking about the new attempt, Caterham Cars CEO, Graham Macdonald, said: "Last year’s contest was extremely close and we expect it to be even tighter this year, given that there are four British manufacturers attending, each with exactly the same aim."
