Dodge Durango

It looks like this year’s New York Auto Show will be a pretty crowded automotive affair. Over the past few days, we’ve learned that a lot of world debuts are scheduled to take place with most automakers deciding to keep their debuts close to their chests for the time being. One, in particular, is Dodge, who just like the rest, decided that a little teasing of the redesigned Durango SUV was in order.

Although the company has been mum on details about the Durango, it did announce that the new SUV will deliver state-of-the-art technology in both form and function. Short of saying, it’s going to look completely different and it will come with new tech toys. According to the short press release provided, the new "Durango adds several new class-exclusive features for 2014, making it the Dodge brand’s most technologically advanced, fuel-efficient and stylish Durango ever."

Big words from Dodge, one we hope it can back up. Taking a look at the teaser image, you’ll notice that the 2014 Durango appears to adopt new taillights in the "racetrack" design that we also saw on the Dodge Dart. If that’s what Dodge means by most stylish Durango ever, then count us in.

Also, we expect the 2014 Durango to also get the new eight-speed automatic transmission used in all the other Chrysler vehicles.

Full details on the 2014 Dodge Durango will be revealed next week during its official debut in New York.
