1986 Mustang SVO

This is a kit I received from my son for Christmas. It's the '85 Ford SVO Mustang. I did some research before building and there are a few problems with Monogram's offering. This one comes with a single exhaust and dual tips and no fog lamps. If it was a 1985 SVO it would not have flush headlights. In 1985 1/2 they went to flush lamps and dual exhaust as a few visual changes. The color callouts are wrong in the instructions. The front bumper is located with the headlight buckets and the interior bucket detail is abysmal. Otherwise, it's a pretty easy build right out of the box.

I built mine as a 1986 model with dual exhaust added from a Mustang GT and fog lamps from my parts stash. I opened up the hood scoop for realism. It also has the rare one year only shadow blue paint.
