1953 Hudson Handyman

This is a what-if model, depicting what a production '53 Hudson pickup may have looked like, based on the 1948 factory concept and a few homebuilt examples.

Work began with the body- I cut away the rear portion of the roof and the trunk area, and grafted in the bed sides and floor from a '41 Chevy pickup. The cab wall and tailgate are made from plastic stock. I removed all the trim, and stripped the chrome, then sprayed the chrome parts in semigloss argent paint, to give a 'low line' look to the truck. I also downgraded the 308 Twin H six to a standard, single carb 292.
