AFS and Andretti end collaboration

Occasional IndyCar entrant AFS Racing has parted company with Andretti Autosport, but still hopes to run its own independent IndyCar programme in the near future. Gary Peterson's AFS team joined forces with Michael Andretti's squad three years ago, primarily for Indy Lights, where the AFS Andretti team took Raphael Matos and JR Hildebrand to championship titles. The partnership was also extended to IndyCar, with Franck Montagny driving an AFS Andretti entry at Sears Point in 2009, and Adam Carroll getting two starts with the combination this year.
